Graydon T. Crabtree, 95, of Safford, passed into eternity Nov. 28, in Safford. He was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Slaughters, Kentucky to Jerold Crabtree and Ruby Lamb Crabtree.
Graydon was a special, kind hearted person who loved his family very much and took pride in being a loving father. Graydon was married to his eternal companion, Ruth Carpenter, on May 18, 1943, in Fresno, Calif. The two of them shared a special bond and loved each other very much.
He was always a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and Ruth served a mission for the church on the Navajo Indian Reservation in the Farmington, New Mexico area. He loved the people there and always cherished the memories of their service.
Graydon is survived by his daughters, Jacquelyn Crabtree Villmer, Kathleen Crabtree Remmington, Laurel Crabtree Crumrine, and Michele Crabtree Driver; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved very much.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth, his parents, Jerold and Pearl Crabtree and Ruby and Ted Nagy; his two sons, Graydon Crabtree, Jr., and Christopher Bryan Crabtree, as well as his son-in-law, Kent Driver.
Services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Pima Stake Center, beginning with a viewing at 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12 p.m. with interment in the Pima Cemetery following services.
