THATCHER – One of the two victims in the Aug. 27 Sunrise Mobil Home & RV Park shooting found himself in jail only a month after the incident.
Brandon Overall, 21, of Thatcher, was arrested and booked into the Graham County Adult Detention Facility on Sept. 29 on charges of DUI, aggravated DUI, resisting arrest, and unlawful flight from pursuing law enforcement.
According to a press release from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Overall was driving a 2017 Dodge Charger with a 2-year-old passenger when he was involved in a collision in the parking lot of the La Casita restaurant at about 4:42 p.m.
Overall allegedly attempted to flee from the officers and struggled with them during his arrest.
After a 48-hour hold, Overall was released Oct. 2. Formal charges are pending blood test results from the DPS Crime Lab in Tucson.
The case against the Sunrise shooters, Nathaniel Thomas Sanchez, 18, and Tyree Coleman, 17, is still being adjudicated. The suspects have been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, disorderly conduct with a deadly weapon, discharging firearms in city limits, endangerment, and discharging a firearm at a residence.
