Obituary for Dwain M. Chatfield

Dwain M. Chatfield was born July 29, 1936, in Pima to Ernest and Ercel Chatfield. He entered into eternal rest Jan. 4. Dwain had four siblings; Junior Chatfield, Troy Chatfield, Rue Chatfield and Judy Kohrs.

Dwain attended Pima High School until he enlisted in the United States Army, where he attained the rank of Private First Class. After his service in the Army he began working as a heavy equipment operator in the copper mines.

He is survived by his three children; Jody Duncan, Tina Chatfield Ruiz, and Tammy Montemayor; five grandchildren, Crystal Lickliter, Martin Dwain Ruiz, Victoria Olivia Ruiz, Christopher Chatfield, and Daniel Chatfield; and four great-grandchildren.

A viewing was held Friday, Jan. 11, from noon until 1 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. The viewing was followed by a graveside service at the Pima Cemetery.
