Pete Grijalva Jr. was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Aug. 14, 1932, to Pete Grijalva Sr. and Emma Montez. Pete lived in the Safford area for 84 years and attended Solomon schools before enlisting in the United States Air Force.
Pete married Margarita Grijalva and had three children; Mike Grijalva, Dena Gomez, and Gerrie Aguirre. Pete had 17 grandchildren.
