GRAHAM COUNTY – Women have dealt with unwanted advances from men since the dawn of civilization, but in the age of technology we currently live in, such actions can now be made anonymously and from afar.

On Monday, March 12, a Graham County Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched at about 11:35 a.m. to a residence where a woman reported receiving an indecent exposure picture on her phone of the male genitalia. The woman said it was not the first time she had received such a picture.

The woman said she received a text message from a number she didn’t recognize and when she opened the message the picture appeared. The subject in the picture appeared to be a Caucasian man, and the photo was accompanied by the words “call me” at the bottom.

If authorities learn the identity of the man, he could be charged with indecent exposure for sending the unwanted picture.

The woman said she didn’t know who sent her the picture and was aghast that people would send pictures like that over the phone.

The deputy informed the woman that she could have her phone provider block the number so whoever is sending the pictures will not be able to reach her again in the future. The deputy also called the number but wasn’t able to get anyone to answer it. He then told the woman that if she had any more problems to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
