SAFFORD – The 22nd annual Santa Maria Style Tri-Tip Beef Dinner to benefit the Eastern Arizona College Newman Center is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, in the St. Rose of Lima Volunteer Hall on 4th Street and 3rd Avenue in Safford.  The Dinner supports EAC full tuition, $2,800 for one year, and two book scholarships, $1,000 each, and is in loving memory of Fran Galusky – 1922-2015 – a long-time volunteer.

There are two dinner sessions.  Serving times are 4:30 – 6 p.m. or 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Take-out dinners can be picked up between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. The menu consists of salad, rolls, Tri-Tip beef, green chili, beans, baked potato, and dessert.  Drinks are lemonade, water or wine.

Tickets are $15 per person. There are a limited number of tickets available.  No tickets will be sold at the door.

The Newman Center has Mass every Tuesday at 11 a.m. at 3592 Fourth Street in Thatcher, followed by a luncheon. All students are welcome to attend.

The Newman Center students clean a mile of U.S. Highway 191 and help at the Graham County Fair, Tri-Tip dinner, and Festival of Trees. They prepare a float for Homecoming, do the Nativity Scene set-up in front of the Safford City Hall, and perform other Eastern Arizona College activities.
