SAFFORD – The Christmas season is upon the Gila Valley confirmed by the 24th annual Light Parade in Downtown Safford on Saturday night.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Christmas in the Country.”
Santa Claus will be on hand at the Safford Theatre from 4-6 p.m., and various local talent will be showcased at 5th Avenue and Main Street, starting at 5 p.m.
Plenty of stores and vendors will be open late to accommodate holiday shopping. A fun and festive atmosphere Downtown will include photo booths on each block for Christmas pics.
The Pima High School Choir will perform the National Anthem with flag bearers in each block.
And at 6 p.m., the finale of the actual Light Parade will be held.
