SAFFORD – The 22nd annual Harvest Festival will take place in Downtown Safford on Saturday, Oct. 22, in front of Safford City Hall from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The event will feature plenty of vendors, a pumpkin carving contest, a costume contest, a pumpkin rolling race, a stick horse race, a sack race, and plenty of children’s booth games.
A Downtown Trick-or-Treat will have attendees browsing through nearby participating businesses and this year will feature the inaugural Pumpkin Derby race. Like a Pinewood Derby, pumpkins will race side by side down a ramp with trophies given for fastest racer, and Best Creative Pumpkin Racer as well as other prizes.
Oktoberfest
The Safford City Hall lawn will also feature Oktoberfest, which will run from 4 – 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21.
The event will feature live music and will have a corn hole tournament, as well as contests for stein holding, and carrying, and an adult costume contest and will feature plenty of beer and authentic German food.
