Staff Reports

SAFFORD – Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs is scheduled to appear at the Safford Spring Festival Sponsor Dinner on Thursday, at the Venue and Vignette on Main at 430 W. Main St. in Downtown Safford. The dinner runs from 5 – 8 p.m., and Hobbs will provide an in-person update on her work for the state.

The dinner serves as the prelude to the Safford Spring Festival, to be held this Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27 at the Safford City Hall Lawn at 717 W. The Spring Festival will officially open on Friday at 5 p.m., with the singing of our National Anthem by Kamea Nelson, and will run until 10 p.m. that night. Saturday will be an all-day spring-is-in-the-air good time Downtown as the festival runs from 8 in the morning until 10 at night. The event will feature live music from popular local performers such as Darryn Kamae and Zaylie Windsor as well as various vendors and, of course, plenty of wine.
