FREEMAN FLATS – A cow was reportedly killed by a pack of wild dogs early Sunday afternoon after chasing it into a ravine.

According to Graham County Dispatch notes, a group of ATV riders were in the desert area off Discovery Park Boulevard and 20th Avenue at around 12:50 p.m. when they saw three dogs they believed had chased a cow into a ravine and killed it. One of the ATV riders reportedly said they witnessed the dogs eating the cow.

The riders reportedly ran the dogs from the scene and called Graham County Dispatch, so the owner of the cow could be located and informed.

A Graham County deputy arrived at the scene and determined that the cow likely fell into the ravine, causing its death.

The deputy then called the owner of the cow and relayed the cow’s location so he could retrieve the deceased animal.
