Sheriff’s Office still searching for missing girl south of Safford

GRAHAM COUNTY – The Graham County Sheriff’s Office continues the search for missing 12-year-old girl Betty Taylor, who went missing from her home in Thunderbird Mobile Estates on Sunday. 

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Betty was last seen at about 11 a.m. when he told her father she was going for a walk. After Betty had not returned home by 6 p.m., the family began to search for the missing girl and reported her missing to the Sheriff’s Office at about 8:06 p.m. 

Betty was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with white lettering on the front, blue jeans, a baseball cap with neon colors, and turquoise and pink colored Van’s tennis shoes. She also may be in possession of a purple-colored backpack. She is described as being a white female, roughly 5’5” tall, 135 pounds, with shoulder-length brown hair with red highlights.  

The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing and anyone with any information is encouraged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (928) 428-3141.

The Sheriff’s Office is conducting interviews with friends and others who recently had
contact with Betty Taylor and she has been entered into the ACIC/NCIC system as
missing.
