On Oct. 26, 2020 at approximately 11:50 a.m.,the Graham County Sheriffls Office responded to a reported body in the Artesia area. Since that time, the Sheriffs Office, with the assistance ofother agencies, has been attempting to identify the female who was found.

A quail hunter located what turned out to be a deceased body discarded in a bag off Artesia Road near the corrals.

The bag was found partially underwater, and the hunter also located toys next to the bag, making him believe the deceased might be a child.

Based on the autopsy the female is believed to be between the ages of 13 to 15 years of age. These attached photos are the clothing found on and with the victim.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is also assisting the Sheriffs Office with posting this information on their information site. The Graham County Sheriffls Office is asking for anyone with information that could help identify the victim to call the general number for the Sheriffs Office (928) 428-3141 or use Text a Tip at 79516
