SOLOMON – The Graham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Solomon that damaged a residence.

Deputies and Safford officers responded to Court Street in Solomon at about 2:35 a.m. Thursday after several people heard multiple gunshots.

During the investigation, bullet casings from a .223 caliber were found in the area, along with a bullet fragment. Several small bullet holes were found in a residence; one through a porch screen, one through a window, one into a stucco pillar, and one in the stucco above another window.

While examining the damage, a deputy and residents then heard roughly five more gunshots in the distance. The deputy patrolled the area in an attempt to locate who was doing the shooting but did not locate any suspects.

The residents advised they don’t know who would have reason to shoot their house.

The case is under investigation.
