SAFFORD – It’s not common for a family-run business to not only survive but thrive through three generations, but Safford Builders Supply/Ace Hardware isn’t your average family-run business.
With an emphasis on customer service and satisfaction, Safford Builders Supply/Ace Hardware has built its business on a model of knowledgeable and helpful employees who serve the community well.
Those employees were recognized during the vendor day celebration of the store’s 80 years in business held Sept. 14. On that day, numerous vendors set up booths and displayed products and offerings that are available at Safford Builders Supply. Later the same evening, co-owner Preston Owens recognized the employees for their years of service, which totaled 620 years for all the employees.
On Saturday, Sept. 15, the party turned to the community as the store celebrated by throwing an event that included magic shows by Samuel Siminoe, 50-cent hot dogs, numerous giveaways and a raffle that earned $2,714 for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
From contractors to do-it-yourselfers, Safford Builders Supply handles the jobs and needs for all types and sizes and does it with a smile and helping hand. Here’s to another 80 years of providing a good business and service to the community.
