GREENLEE COUNTY – Roughly three-quarters of an ounce of meth was seized by Greenlee County Sheriff’s Office deputies Thursday night after pulling a vehicle over on suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to the Greenlee County Sheriff’s Office, a tip was called in regarding a possible intoxicated driver near Duncan operating a truck. The suspect’s vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated.

During the stop, deputies learned the driver, Jesse Justin Davis, 45, of Duncan, was driving on a suspended license, which stemmed from a 2009 DUI conviction in Apache County. Davis also appeared to be operating his truck while impaired.

A subsequent search of the truck yielded 22 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, syringes, and other drug paraphernalia.

Davis, 45, was then booked into the Greenlee County Jail on charges of possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and aggravated DUI.
