GRAHAM COUNTY – A Graham County resident was surprised the afternoon of Feb. 10 when a FedEx van drove through his fence off South Lebanon Loop Road.

According to a Graham County Sheriff’s Office report, a deputy was dispatched at about 1:53 p.m. to the area and spoke with both the property owner and FedEx driver. The deputy also noted a 2006 Mercedes Sprinter Van with FedEx logo was severely damaged at the scene. The van was later removed by a tow truck service.

The FedEx driver reportedly told the deputy that he was southbound on Lebanon Loop when a dog ran across the road. The driver swerved to avoid striking the dog and lost control of the vehicle. The van continued off the roadway and through the victim’s fence and into some Mesquite trees.

The driver was not injured in the crash and was later picked up at the location. The property owner was given the driver’s insurance information and police report number to follow up with the driver’s insurance company.
