DUNCAN – Extra patrol on the Thanksgiving holiday netted three DUI arrests and the seizure of 28 grams of crystal methamphetamine in Greenlee County.

According to a release from the Greenlee County Sheriff’s Office, the meth bust “was a result of a traffic contact and the good intel sharing and surveillance deputies have been doing on the sides of roadways, keeping an eye on those suspected of drugs.”

Wanda Kay Wynne, 53, of Duncan, was pulled over on the highway for a suspected DUI charge.

During the traffic stop, a drug-detecting canine had an alert and a subsequent search yielded 29 grams of meth.

Wynne was then arrested and booked into the Greenlee County Jail on charges of possession of a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug for sale, and DUI-drug.
