GRAHAM/GREENLEE COUNTIES – A double fatality crash closed U.S. Highway 191 North on “The Stretch” around 5:43 p.m. on Tuesday. Both drivers in a head-on collision are deceased.
As of 8:15 p.m., police were still at the scene and the closure was still in effect. Traffic was being diverted to utilize U.S. Highway 70 to Duncan and then Highway 75 to get to Three-Way and the opposite to get to the Safford area.
Update: According to ADOT, the highway reopened as of 9:15 p.m.
