The Dorothy Stinson Elementary 2022 Spelling Bee is complete and the winner is Derek Tucker, from Mrs. Turner’s sixth-grade class.
Tucker successfully spelled the word “contraption” to take the victory. He will now advance to the Graham County Spelling Bee, held Feb. 16, starting at 6 p.m. in the General Services Building in Safford.
Rounding out the top three included Justice Rose Gojkovich from Mr. Quintero’s fifth-grade class in second place, and Kasen Nunley from Mrs. Shaw’s sixth-grade class took home third place.
