CBP seeking public input concerning a proposed border barrier project in Pima and Cochise counties

U.S. Customs and Border Protection is considering replacing up to 63 miles of vehicle barrier (shown on the right) and pedestrian fencing with a bollard wall in Pima and Cochise counties.

TUCSON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking input concerning a proposed border barrier project. CBP is proposing to replace up to 63 miles of pedestrian fencing and vehicle barrier with bollard wall in Pima and Cochise counties, Arizona. The proposed project also includes the installation of lighting and other detection technology.  

CBP is seeking input regarding the proposed project’s potential impacts to the environment, culture, and commerce, including potential socioeconomic impacts and quality of life. CBP will consider your comments as a part of its project planning process.
