GLOBE – The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers traveling on U.S. Highway 70, east of Globe, to plan for the following lane restrictions as work continues on a roadway lighting project:
- Alternating east- and westbound restrictions on U.S. Highway 70 between mileposts 256 and 259 are planned daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1, through Friday, Sept. 11.
- Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.
- The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.
Motorists should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.
