SAFFORD – Starting Monday, Sept. 23, the Safford Arby’s will be giving away slider coupons for each $1 donated to the Share our Strength Foundation and nonprofit No Kid Hungry Foundation. All of the donated money will go to the foundations to be used to help feed hungry children and other programs including Big Brother Big Sister and Junior Achievement.

According to Safford Arby’s Manager Abbie Aloisio, the franchisee receives part of the money collected to be utilized locally.

Aloisio said she donates her own money to the program personally because she believes that it helps make a difference in children’s lives.

“The Junior Achievement, especially, they work one on one with kids who don’t know how to do college applications and job interviews and they help them be prepared for the real world,” she said.

Arby’s participates in the program twice a year – once in the spring and once in the fall – for approximately four weeks each time.

Businesses are encouraged to donate in blocks of $50 or more and those who do so get a sign with their business name on the wall of the restaurant. For those businesses interested in feeding their workers with the coupons, Arby’s asks that you call ahead for large orders and they will make the sliders so they are ready for pickup at a desired time.

So, head down to Arby’s for one of its fine offerings and while there donate to a worthy cause and you will be rewarded with slider coupons to either use for lunch another day or give as gifts. Every donation goes to help a hungry child or one in need of assistance.
