Adriana Ramirez, 23, was arrested and booked into the Graham County Jail on charges of assault and disorderly conduct after her boyfriend informed authorities that she had struck him with a baseball bat.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on Santa Fe Street on Wednesday, March 28, at about 9:30 p.m. regarding a man being assaulted.

Upon arrival, the victim said Ramirez was intoxicated and had attacked him with a bat, which was laying on the living room floor now broken. The man declined a medical examination and said he just wanted Ramirez to leave.

The officer noted Ramirez appeared “extremely intoxicated” and soon became violent with them as she attempted to make her way through the officers to the victim. Later, a portable breath test showed Ramirez to have a breath-alcohol concentration of .279.

As Ramirez was being taken into custody and handcuffed, the victim then became confrontational and had to be verbally warned to back away.

Ramirez was then transported to the Graham County Adult Detention Facility and booked for assault and disorderly conduct.
