PIMA – That’s right, the classic you loved in your youth is being raffled off by the Pima Fire Department and you have the chance to be that dad/mom who gets to come home to the biggest smile on a youngster’s face.

The fire department is raffling off a Yamaha PW50 two-stroke child’s dirt bike donated by Epic Motorsports/Gila Outdoor.

Tickets are only $10 apiece or 6 for $50. There is a limited amount of just 1,000 available tickets, so click here to get yours now! Or pop into Epic Motorsports at 3660 W. Main St. and purchase some tickets there and be sure to check out the other offerings while you’re in the place. You can also look the firefighters in the eye and buy some at the fire department they are looking to replace.

Some of you may be saying, ‘well, Jon, I don’t have a need for the bike but I’d like to help.’ And you are in luck because the raffle winner can take $1,500 in credit lieu of the bike if they wish.

The drawing will be held June 6 or at the next fire meeting after all the tickets are sold, whatever comes first.

Check out this Yamaha video about the bike.

The bike is best for riders under 55 pounds and is good for beginners as it features a single-speed transmission with a twist-and-go throttle. With no chain, maintenance is minimal, encompassing mostly making sure the oil injection tank always has oil in it. It is one bad little mambajamba.

All of the funds from the raffle will go toward the department’s new fire station fund. So, don’t dawdle, there are only hundreds left out of the original 1,000. Click here to pick up some raffle tickets and keep your fingers crossed.
