STATEWIDE – The No. 5 Willcox Cowgirls (14-3 seeding, 12.2679 rating) will represent the South Region in the 2A state tourney quarterfinals on Tuesday, May 5. The region champion Cowgirls face No. 4 Kingman Academy (11-2, 12.9012) after ousting No. 12 Eloy Santa Cruz (9-8, 3.9447) 5-1 during the first round in Willcox on May 2.

Macumber also leads the Cowgirls at the plate with a .596 (56-94) batting average with 38 RBIs and a lone strikeout.
