UPDATE: Daytime lane restrictions on U.S. 70 east of Peridot rescheduled for July 21-23

PERIDOT – The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers traveling on U.S. Highway 70, east of Peridot, to plan for the following lane restrictions as work continues on a passing lane project:

  • Alternating east- and westbound restrictions on US 70 between mileposts 274 and 276 are planned daily from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23.
    • Flaggers will direct drivers through the work zone.
    • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph in the work zone.

Motorists should allow extra travel time, use caution, and be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
