GRAHAM COUNTY – There is still time to sign up to donate blood for upcoming American Red Cross (ARC) blood drives in the Gila Valley in November, including the largest ARC blood drive in Arizona at Eastern Arizona College.
EAC Blood Drive
Where: Gherald L. Hoopes Activities Center 615 N. Stadium Ave., Thatcher
When: Thursday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
VFW Blood Drive
Where: VFW Post 10385 3481 W. 8th St., Thatcher
When: Monday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

As we approach the holiday season, we experience a critical need for collections. Please consider donating and helping us keep our shelves full – After all illness and injury don’t take holidays and we can’t save lives without you! Eighty percent of what we collect comes from community drives like this one, and most blood does stay right here to address local needs – You could be saving the lives of people you know and love and not even know it!
The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
