Thatcher – On Monday, the Thatcher Town Council presented outgoing Thatcher Fire Chief Mike Payne with a plaque in recognition of his more than 48 years of service. Chief Payne started on the volunteer Thatcher Fire Department in 1973 and served as its chief since 1998.
