SAFFORD – Share the gift of life for free by donating blood at an upcoming American Red Cross drive and get a mini-physical and the chance to score a three-day vacation to New York City.
The Red Cross and LDS Safford Stake are hosting a blood drive on Thursday, Aug. 3, from 12:30 – 5:30 p.m. at the LDS Safford Stake Center at 501 Catalina Dr. in Safford. Click here to make an appointment or see other blood drives.
There is an urgent need for all blood types. Since most blood collected stays local to address local needs first before going elsewhere, we can’t save lives without you! All donors at this drive who are over 18 years old will be entered into a drawing to win a three-day trip for two to New York City for an exclusive “Shark Week” experience. If you can make your appointment today, please consider doing so and get a friend to sign-up, too. The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every two to three seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
