SAFFORD – Just a little over a year out of a stint in prison for exposing himself, serial exhibitionist Jerry Roesberry, 65, was arrested yet again for indecent exposure.

On Wednesday, an officer took a report from a woman who advised that she drives for a ride-sharing group to make extra money and that she receives ride requests through the group’s Facebook page. The woman was visibly upset and said she had given a ride to Roesberry from his house to Jerry’s Restaurant at 1612 W. Thatcher Blvd. in Safford.

During the ride, the woman said she was in the area of U.S. Highway 70 and 1st Avenue when Roesberry exposed his genitalia and began to pleasure himself. The woman advised she could see the action and that she told Roesberry to stop twice.

After she dropped Roesberry off at the restaurant, the victim informed her supervisor, who blocked Roesberry from using the service, according to the police report. The victim also advised that a friend of her told her that Roesberry had also exposed himself to her earlier the same day.

Two officers then responded to Jerry’s Restaurant to look for Roesberry and took him into custody. Roesberry denied exposing himself but admitted to doing such acts in the past. He was then arrested and booked into the Graham County Adult Detention Facility on a charge of indecent exposure.

Roesberry has a long history of indecent exposure and sexual abuse-related arrests, starting locally 18 years ago. He pleaded guilty in August 2017 to a charge of indecent exposure and was sentenced to the Arizona Department of Corrections in December 2017.

According to online court records, Roesberry was released from his prison stint on Aug. 13, 2019.
