Second annual town of Pima Easter Extravaganza is this Saturday

PIMA – The second annual town of Pima Easter Extravaganza will be held Saturday, April 13, at the Vard Lines Memorial Roping Arena, baseball field, and Carsen Gary Brown Brown Field. This is a free event for all ages and will begin with an egg hunt at 9 a.m. 

Thousands of eggs will be there for the picking, and the event will also include a coloring contest, arts and crafts, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

After the Easter fun, stick around for a family fun rodeo, followed by a team roping competition in the Alder Pot Roping. The rodeo will include a stick horse race, boot race, greased pig competition, rescue race, men’s family calf dressing, women’s family calf dressing, and ribbon roping. The family fun rodeo is a free event.

Those interested in entering the pot roping competition can sign up and pay a $15 entry fee per event, beginning at 10 a.m. with books closing at 10:45 a.m. The competition will begin at 11 a.m. at the Vard Lines Memorial Roping Arena. 

For more information on the roping competition contact Steven Alder at 928-651-3704. A championship buckle will be awarded to the high money header and heeler for the day. The buckles were donated by H&S Feed, Tack & Supply.
