The Graham County School Superintendent hereby notifies the registered voters of Graham County that candidate packets for School District Governing Boards are now available. Candidate packets may be picked up in the Graham County School Superintendent’s Office at 921 Thatcher Blvd. in Safford. The office is open Monday – Thursday 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Candidates must file their nomination packets and petitions beginning July 9, 2018. The deadline for filing non-partisan nomination petition signatures and nomination papers is Aug. 8, by 5 p.m. for the Nov. 6, General Election. All school district governing board petitions must be filed in the Graham County School Superintendent’s Office.
The following seats expire on December 31, 2018:
All terms are for four years unless otherwise noted.
Bonita School District #16: Two seats
Ft. Thomas Unified School District #7: Two seats
Gila Institute for Technology #2 (GIFT): Three Graham seats – Pima, Fort Thomas, and Solomon
Klondyke School District #9: One seat
Pima Unified School District #6: Two seats
Safford Unified School District #1: Two seats
Solomon School District #5: Three seats
Thatcher Unified School District #4: Three seats. One of these seats is a two-year term
The last day to register to vote in the General Election is Oct. 9. The General Election will take place on Nov. 6.
