SalsaFest Chihuahua Race registration is now open online

GRAHAM COUNTY – The Graham County Chamber of Commerce is announcing the immediate opening of the 2021 Chihuahua Races online registration.

Chihuahua owners interested in entering their animals into the race event can do so by clicking here. On the day of the race, the chihuahuas will compete in order of their registration. Only the first 60 chihuahuas enrolled in the race are eligible to participate. Only chihuahuas are eligible to compete in the race.

The annual SalsaFest Chihuahua Races will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25. This year, the racecourse will be located at 7th Avenue and W. Main Street in Safford, Arizona. All participants must check-in at the registration table near the race between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. 

The first-place winner of the race will be awarded $100. The second-place winner will receive $25, and third place will win $5. The chihuahua costume contest prize winner will receive $25.

This year’s Chihuahua Races is sponsored by Arizona G&T Cooperatives.
