SAFFORD – Graham County School Superintendent Donna McGaughey has announced a search for candidates to fill a vacancy on the Safford Unified School District Governing Board, which will be effective as of Friday, March 24, due to a resignation from the board.
Per Arizona Revised Statute 15-302, A-3; the county superintendent will fulfill the vacancy by appointment and the applicant who is appointed will hold the seat through Dec. 31, 2024.
Applicants must have resided in the district for at least one year prior to the appointment and be registered to vote in Arizona.
To apply, send a letter of interest to the Graham County School Superintendent at 921 Thatcher Blvd. Safford, AZ, 85546. Include all contact information in the letter. The deadline to submit a letter of interest is Monday, April 10, at 5 p.m.
