SAFFORD – The Safford City–Graham County Library has chosen Sarah Russell as the featured artist for the month of January.  Finding My Muse, a fan art collection done in several mediums, features images of Puddles Pity Party, a well-known performer who will return to America’s Got Talent the Champions starting Jan. 6.

Sarah Russell is an Arizona native who recently moved to Safford after several years of living in Phoenix. Sarah first discovered a love for art during high school and has enjoyed it as a hobby since. In the summer of 2014, a YouTube video of a giant sad clown with a golden voice caught Sarah’s eye and eventually led to the collection of art currently on display at the library. Sarah relates, “Puddles is my muse. I don’t get tired of drawing and painting him. I’ve picked up several new mediums since I began drawing Puddles. I’m always looking for new and different ways to interpret him.”

By featuring local artists, the Safford City-Graham County Library wishes to showcase talent, celebrate art in its many forms, and enhance the experience of all who come through our library doors.

This show will be available for viewing on the main floor of the library during open hours now through Feb. 3.
