Safford approves $50K for non-profits

SAFFORD – The city of Safford has announced that the Safford City Council has approved $50,000 to be awarded to nonprofit organizations for the next fiscal year. 

Application requests that are approved by a majority vote of the council will be awarded up to $5,000 per applicant per fiscal year. 

Applications must be submitted to the Safford City Clerk’s Office either by mail or in person. Get an application here. Organizations that previously received city funds in the current fiscal year do not need to resubmit them. 

To be eligible to receive the funds, organizations must provide services supporting activities or encouraging economic development in Safford, have been established for a minimum of two years, be chartered or incorporated through the Arizona State Corporation Commission, and be a tax-exempt entity as determined by the IRS.
