Pima announces Swim Team and swim lesson registration

PIMA – The town of Pima has announced the opening of swim team and swim lesson registrations, Thursday, April 28, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at Pima Town Hall at 110 W. Center St. in Pima. There will also be a second sign-up night on Thursday, May 12, from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at the same place. Check or credit card payments are accepted at that time.

The cost is $60 per swimmer for the swim team and $40 per swimmer per session for swim lessons. 

Swim team practice will start May 31 with advanced swimmers from 7 – 7:50 and intermediate swimmers from 8 – 8:45 a.m.

Swim lessons will be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with classes at 9, 9:30, 10, and 10:30. Swimmers must be at least 4 years old to participate.

The Pima Pool will open to the public for the season on May 20, starting at 1 p.m. Individual season passes can be purchased for $75 and a family season pass is just $175.

Safford

Registration for the Safford swim team or swim lessons can be completed at the Safford City Annex building at 808 S. 8th Ave. starting Monday, May 2, from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. Pre-registration will continue Mondays – Thursdays until May 19. 

The cost for the Safford swim team is $60 per swimmer and $40 per swimmer per session for swim lessons. 

The Safford Pool will open to the public for the season on May 20, starting at 12:30 p.m. For more information on the Safford Pool and its summer programs click here.

Thatcher

Thatcher will also field a swim team. Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool to participate. 

Thatcher has also opened its splash pad at Thatcher Splash Park at 3883 W. Ballpark in Thatcher.
