THATCHER – Come by the Safford Lions Club’s Borderlands P.O.W.W.O.W. market this Saturday, April 4, at The Home Depot at 750 S. 20th Ave. in Thatcher from 8 – 11 a.m. for some fruits and veggies.

With no qualifications, customers can receive up to 70 pounds of fresh nutritious rescued produce with a $12 contribution.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this month’s market will be done as a drive-through. Customers are asked to enter through Home Depot’s northern entrance on 20th Avenue and follow the directions. Organizers ask customers bring exact change ($12) for the produce.

Customers will stay in their vehicles as volunteers collect payment and bring the food boxes to the vehicles.

This month’s list of produce includes carrots, Italian squash, Euro cucumber, green beans, Hindu eggplant, mangoes, beef tomato, Roma tomato, grape tomato, and green bell pepper.
