PIMA — Residents from across the Gila Valley are invited to begin Independence Day with a community tradition as the annual Pima Pancake Breakfast returns Saturday, July 4, at Edd Hubbard Field in Pima.
Hosted by the Town of Pima and the Eastern Arizona Historical Society and Museum, the complimentary breakfast will begin at 6 a.m. and is expected to serve approximately 1,000 people.
The annual event will feature pancakes, eggs, and bacon, along with a brief patriotic program recognizing the significance of Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence’s signing. Elected officials from communities across the Gila Valley are expected to participate by helping serve breakfast to attendees.
Donations will be accepted during the breakfast to help support the ongoing work of the Eastern Arizona Historical Society and Museum.
The Pima Pancake Breakfast serves as one of the opening events of Gila Valley 250, a valley-wide Independence Day celebration featuring community events throughout Safford, Thatcher, and Pima, including parades, family activities, volunteer recognition, live entertainment, and fireworks.

The breakfast will be held at Edd Hubbard Field, located at 101 South Main Street in Pima. Admission is free, and no registration is required, thanks to a local sponsor, the Eastern Arizona Historical Society and Museum, and the Town of Pima.
