MORENCI – The Pima Roughriders (6-0 2A East, 17-1 overall) girls basketball team remained perfect in the 2A Conference this season with a 72-31 victory over the Morenci Wildcats on Thursday.
The Roughriders sit atop the 2A East and are ranked No. 3 in the state. They are the back-to-back defending 2A State Champions.
Pima will visit Safford on Monday, Jan. 16 and will host Blue Ridge the following day on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Morenci (3-3 2A East, 8-8 overall) will next host Willcox on Tuesday, Jan. 17.
