PIMA – The body of a reported 30-year-old woman will have an autopsy performed by the Pima County Office of Medical Examiner to help determine the manner of her death.

The victim was found unresponsive in a vehicle on 1300 South at about 8:52 p.m. on Monday, according to a Graham County Dispatch report.

The responding party advised the victim “looks beat up” but also was apparently unsure if she had suffered a drug overdose as no Narcan was listed as being available.

After cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) efforts failed, McDougal Caldwell’s Funeral Chapel was called to retrieve her body until ready for transport to Tucson for the autopsy.

Pima Assistant Chief of Police Gary Graves advised that the case was a “very active death investigation” and that a press release would be forthcoming when more information was available. Graves is in charge of the department while Chief Diane Cauthen remains on leave for personal injury.
