PIMA – The town of Pima is excited to announce the ribbon cutting of its brand-new Town Hall Complex. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 9, starting at 6 p.m. This will be a special moment for the town of Pima, and the entire community is invited to attend.

The first 150 attendees will be provided with refreshments, courtesy of the town of Pima. Additionally, there will be a raffle for Town of Pima hats and hoodies, giving everyone a chance to win some great Pima Town swag.

During the event, tours of the new complex will be offered, led by the town manager and members of the town council. This is a unique opportunity for everyone to see the new facility up close and learn more about the features that make it a valuable asset to the entire community.

The building, located at 110 W. Center St., Pima, was formally the Justice of the Peace building for Graham County. However, Vernon Batty, Pima Town Manager, said that the county has moved its courtroom to a central location, leaving the building behind. The town of Pima owns the building and will be utilizing it as the new town hall location. It will be housing the offices of at least four town employees, and it will be the new chamber for the town council meetings.

“We’re very excited to move into this new building. The old building served us well but now we’re going to have more room to do the things we need to do,” Batty said.

The old town hall may be utilized as offices for the Pima Police Department, but right now there are no firm plans for the building’s future. Before it became the town hall it used to be the Valley National Bank.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, attendees are invited to stay for the regularly scheduled town council meeting which will be called to order at 7 p.m.

The new Pima Town Hall Complex is a significant addition to the town, and the town of Pima looks forward to sharing it with the community. Please join us for this momentous occasion.
