PIMA – The town of Pima has canceled its planned Trunk-or-Treat event for Halloween due to COVID-19, however, the Eastern Arizona Museum’s haunted house is up and running.
The second annual Fright Night at the Eastern Arizona Museum in Pima opened Wednesday night and will continue to run Thursday, Oct. 19 – Saturday, Oct. 31, from 7-9 p.m.
The haunted house is the museum’s only fundraiser this year due to COVID-19 and masks will be required, and there will be social distancing markers for those in line outside.
The event takes place at the W.M. Carter Farm Museum just north of the intersection of Main Street and U.S. Highway 70 and Pima. The entry fee is just $5 and all the proceeds go toward the museum.
This year, each night after the haunt there will be “guided ghost tours” of the main three museum buildings. The old Bank of Pima was built in 1914. Cluff Hall (the oldest structure still standing in Pima) was built in 1882, and the Rexall drugstore was built in the early 1900s.
The tours will be guided by a paranormal investigative team from Pahrump, Nevada, and will charge $10 per person, which will also be donated to the museum.

Once again, all fees go directly to the museum, which used last year’s funds to repair the roof over the Rexall drug store and to install a new air conditioning unit. The Fright at the Museum couldn’t take place without the many volunteers from throughout Graham County who make it a possibility.
