Crash closes highway

SAFFORD – A fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle on U.S. Highway 70 near 14th Avenue forced the closure of the highway from 14th Avenue to 20th Avenue at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
It appeared that the pedestrian was attempting to cross the highway when the collision occurred.
