P.O.W.W.O.W. rescue produce returns Saturday, March 5

THATCHER – Come by the Safford Lions Club’s Borderlands P.O.W.W.O.W. market this Saturday, March 5, at The Home Depot at 750 S. 20th Ave. in Thatcher from 8 – 11 a.m. for some fruits and veggies. 

With no qualifications, attendees can shop for up to 70 pounds of fresh nutritious rescued produce for a $12 contribution. A drive-through service is available for those who request it.

Borderlands Produce Rescue saves 32 million pounds of produce annually and redistributes it to families in 24 U.S. states.
