The Miami Police department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Monday night. One suspect has been arrested and jailed on a charge of murder in the first degree.

Miami, Arizona – One suspect has been arrested regarding a fatal shooting that occurred in Miami on Monday night.
Adin Gilmore, 20, of Miami, was arrested and booked into the Gila County Jail on a charge of murder in the first degree. According to preliminary information, Jonathan Lee Licano, 43, of Miami, was found at about 9:22 p.m. deceased in Downtown Miami at the intersection of Adonis Avenue and Live Oak (U.S. Highway 60), behind the Appliance Mart. Licano had been fatally shot.
The Miami Police Department is investigating the shooting with assistance from other agencies. Authorities advise the investigation is still active and anyone with information should call the Miami Police Department at (928) 473-2466 or contact WeTip at wetip.com or 1-800-CRIME.
Miami Police and the Gila County Sheriff’s Office cordoned off the intersection and were seen looking for possible suspects on foot and also while driving along the highway with searchlights illuminated.
On Wednesday, Miami Police Chief Keith Thompson authorized the press release and thanked the collaborated efforts of the Globe Police Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Gila County Drug, Gang, and Violent Crimes Task Force, and the Gila County Sheriff’s Office.
“The Miami Police Department is committed to continuing this investigation (un)till all suspects are apprehended in this case,” the release stated.
Chief Thompson was out of the office Wednesday afternoon and was not available for further comment.
