Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Virginia Ruth Brown, passed into eternity on June 5, 2023, at the age of 92. She was born on July 30, 1930, in Churubusco, Indiana to Ralph Pressler and Ursula Ott Pressler, joining her brothers Phillip and Ralph Jr.
Virginia attended school in Churubusco, graduating from high school following her senior year. On Dec. 28, 1951, she married her beloved husband, Frederick L. Brown, in Tucson, Arizona. They were blessed with two sons, Frederick, and Steven Brown.
Virginia was a wonderful homemaker and wife who spent her time lovingly caring for her home and her family. She truly enjoyed playing the organ for her church but her most meaningful events were the births of each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her sons, Frederick (Mabel) Brown, and Steven (Cathy) Brown, and her nine grandchildren, Devin, Stephanie, Kevin, Robert, Kyle, Shawnee, Travis, Aolani, and Meishara. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren.
Virginia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick L. Brown; her parents, Ralph and Ursula Pressler, and her brother, Ralph Jr.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 23, at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 at the McDougal’s Caldwell Funeral Chapel, with interment in the Thatcher Cemetery.
