Obituary for Veda Marie Saline

Veda Marie Saline, 98, longtime resident of the Gila Valley, entered into eternal rest in the late-night hours of Dec. 19. She was born Sept. 15, 1920, in Mangum, Oklahoma, to Willie Melton and Mentie Glenn Melton, with siblings Hazel, Rayburn, Jimalee, J.O., Von, Coy, and Shirley.

Veda married Ervin Jay Saline in Safford and that is where they made their home and raised their family. Veda was a very loving, giving lady who was always looking for ways to server others. Family was most important to her and it showed in the way that she cared for them.  She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, gladly serving in many callings.
