SAFFORD – Rory Allen Wilson, of Safford, passed away in Tucson, Arizona, on Jan. 21, 2022, at the age of 73. Rory was born on May 15, 1948. in Douglas, Arizona, to Norman and Dorothy Wilson, with siblings Norman and Brett.
Rory attended schools in Douglas and, after graduating from high school, he went on to Cochise College, earning his degree in Engineering. He was blessed with two children, Jennifer and Rory.
He enjoyed weightlifting in his younger years and was a National Champion Weightlifter. He later began rebuilding and showing classic cars in his older years and had many, many car show awards. Rory was a very intelligent, talented, and hard-working man. He also truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Rory is survived by his children, Jennifer (Ty) Farris, and Rory (Katie) Wilson; his father, Norman Wilson; his siblings, Norman (Mindy) Wilson, and Brett Wilson; four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Wilson, and his partner, Tammy Hensel.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 5, at the Graham County Fairgrounds, Building 4, at 1 p.m.
