Lois Arline Grandy-Reynolds was born June 25, 1953, to Roderick U. Grandy and Kea Arline Witsman Grandy in Buckeye, Arizona. Their families were ranchers and farmers for multiple generations.
Lois had pretty curly red hair, blue eyes, and freckles. She attended Buckeye Elementary School, Buckeye High School, and Northern Arizona University. She played the clarinet in the high school band.
Lois worked for Arizona Public Service at the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant until she retired. She married Leon J. Reynolds on Aug. 3, 2013, in Duncan, Arizona. Leon owns Reynolds Hay Farms, and Lois was a member of the Cowbells in Greenlee County. Together, they were very active in their community.
Lois sang alto in many choirs and she was always on key. She was a very good singer. Lois liked to travel. One of her bucket list highlights was visiting Australia and New Zealand. While there, she parasailed over the Great Barrier Reef with her great friend Ann Campbell.
Lois had no children of her own but she was always considered the second mom to her eight nephews and nieces. Lois Reynolds passed away on July 9, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Leon J. Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds has three children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
